"Lindner, with a virtuosity that matches that of his elder brethren Corea and Jarrett, pushes improvisational piano-playing into a funkier, more laid-back direction. With the help of his like-minded small combo in a live setting - the drummer Marlon Browden is especially tasteful and unintrusive - they laid down some terrific tracks that tease the ear and the mind like expensive perfume. There are even echoes of modern composers like Philip Glass. (The only thing that takes away from the atmosphere is the faint applause in the middle of a couple of tunes). Plus the album flows beautifully from song to song. A winner!"
