"I've been hearing about Spooner for months now and I was finally able to see him at a local bar recently. It was just him and his drummer and the atmosphere was very relaxed. From what I saw and heard, he's a very talented live performer. I was so impressed I actually bought this CD on the spot.If I were to compare him to mainstream musicians I would compare him to Matthew Sweet and John Mayer. But he has his own style and you can hear that on track #7 "Pickup Truck", this track is a campy/corny bluegrass style song about a redneck girl with a pickup. But other songs like "Cry me to sleep" tells the sad story of the state of the families in American factory towns. I could go on about the other great tracks but I only have a limited space. So to wrap it up if your looking for an original effort by a up and comer look no further."
Good stuff
