Brilliant French Rock album . Perfect intro for Americans!

"I was first introduced to Jean-Louis Murat on the Leonard Cohen tribute album "I'm Your Fan". I've since become a huge fan of Murat and other French singers. "Le Moujik et Sa Femme" is the perfect introduction to French Rock for Americans. The songs are heavily acoustic with a nice mix of jazz and blues. The arrangements conjure up comparisons to Neil Young, Chris Whitley and other alternative, folky rock singers. Murat's voice has a sensual quality to it that make the vocals interesting even if you can't understand a word."
