CD ReviewsOxygene: Live In Your Living Room - THIS IS NOT THE 3D VERSI Keith Niemeyer | LaCrosse, WI USA | 10/23/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Please disregard the past reviews that speak of this being a 3D version that comes with 3D glasses. It does not. This CD/DVD set is fantastic (5 stars) but expect to find just the HD version of 'Live In Your Living Room' on the included DVD. This two disk set is a 'Must Buy' for fans and a 'Buyer Beware' for 3D enthusiasts. I purchased the item on this page, (see the AMAZON VERIFIED PURCHASE) directly above the text of my review. I called customer service, they said their description does not say it is in 3D, only HD. Then they suggested I write this review to let future buyers know the "3D reviews" are wrong. My co$tly mistake was believing the "3D reviews" and thinking that the HD in the description was a typo. This is NOT the 3D version. Please note there are no 'Amazon Verified Purchase' reviews that say it is in 3D. " PAL DVD won't play on USA PS3 Greg Best | West Des Moines, Iowa, USA | 01/02/2010 (4 out of 5 stars) "*I* should have read the fine print. It DOES say PAL DVD Region 0, and another reviewer stated there should be no problem, but it does not play on my updated PS3 in America. I'm looking into return options. I've already got the Original OXYGENE on CD and only wanted this for the live video show.
The CD is fine [though not desired by me] and the DVD is not playable on USA PS3. I will update this review later if needed. Update: Did a lot of research since this post. SONY is tough on DVD regions and PAL/NTSC playback. Many other companies, even much cheaper units WILL playback PAL DVD easily, simply because is it easier to manufacture one unit that covers both instead of separate units. So really it is 50/50 if it will play the DVD or not. Plays just fine on a PC" |
