"Bryson seems to have it all; she swings, has impeccable taste, great time, knows how to tell a story , and perhaps most of all, her voice is like melted butterscotch. Rumor has it she's Dizzy's daughter, but if Miles could sing, he'd have sung like Jeanie Bryson. A delightful debut!"
"I first saw Jeanie and her band at a Wash, DC place called Blues Alley. She is terrifically sexy, beautiful, and she was very friendly when I spoke to her. She made my night. I immediately bought her two albums, which I have played over and over again because they are exquisite. Please, Jeanie, make some more."
An accomplished debut album

"It's rare to find a debut album that shows such authority. Ms. Bryson shows here a mastery of nuance, phrasing and quiet invention. Not a lot of empty showmanship, just a lot of heart and talent."
Terrific Debut Album

"Jeanie Bryson has a sensual, appealing voice. Coupled with her laid-back style, impeccable timiing and phrasing, she could become one of the great singers....she's got that much going for her. A lot of the selections, I wasn't familiar with.......no matter, she makes them all appealing. Has some good musicians behind her also adding to the overall effect of good late night music. My favorites are "Squeeze Me", "I Feel So Smootchie", "You've Changed" and "Change Partners".Her voice and lyric interpretations place her several notches above most other vocalists. She has some similarities with Peggy Lee......borne out by a later release of a Peggy Lee tribute."
Simply wonderful!

"I'm biased. I know Jeanie, her mother Connie, and her son Radji. All great people. I absolutely adore Jeanie. She is truly gifted. I cherish some very special memories, including driving to New York with Connie to see Jeanie perform during her "Some Cats Know" tour. Aside from my personal bias, I think if I didn't know the family I would still recommend all of Jeanie's recordings without any hesitation. It's very clear that the music is in her soul."
