Like Cahors wine, Moreau is an acquired taste

"Wonderful, sexy, passionate French songs which range from rants about the pressures of celebrity and publicity (she was/is a famous movie star thanks to the French New Wave) to poetic narratives of amorous encounters, it's a great "potpourri" of musical styles and subjects. For lapsed language students, her clear pronounciation and slow poetic lyrics make it a terrific CD for getting gobs and gobs of French vocabulary nailed before your next trip. In "Quelle Merveille, Ton Coeur" you'll get a lovely list of just about every part of the French anatomy as she traces her lovers' body from head to toe, pausing to listen to his marvelous heart. Much vibraphone, acoustic guitar and quiet late night jazz sounds make this a wonderful backdrop for a cosy evening with a companion and the "de rigeur" bottle of red wine."
