Synopsis

Album Description
Winner: Rock Blues Album of the Year/Blues Foundation Awards. Winner: Best Blues Album Award/Independent Music Awards. As always, Jeff Healey's repertoire here is as wide as the Mississippi--you'll find some Chicago classics, some old R&B, a taste of psychedelia, and some pop classics from a bygone era including "Teach Your Children Well," "Come Together," and his biggest hit, "Angel Eyes." Jeff Healey was arguably one of the most distinctive guitar players of our time. He has sold millions of hard blues/rock recordings but is equally at ease playing the infectious, joyful pop music of the '20s and '30s.

CD Reviews

GREAT ALBUM
M. Lockhart | Utah | 12/05/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I love Jeff's music. It was such a loss when he died of cancer. This is his best (in my opinion) album ever even though it s a posthumous release. It exhibits his brilliance on the guitar and flair for live performance.

Just the first three songs make this one worth buying. I've always liked the live versions (when the sound quality is good) of songs better than the studio versions and this is no exception. His rendition of Robert Johnson's Breaking Down blues is absolutely brilliant."
Great Last Album

"I think Jeff Healy does the best covers of Beatles tunes, and he covered quite a few. The first time I had ever heard of this great guitarist was in the movie "Road House". After that I had to have more of his music. His "Yer Blues" was the first Beatle cover I had heard that was really good. He followed up on this album with a cover of two of my favorite Beatles songs, "Come Together", and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I will miss him very much."
