She sings in a sultry, purry, radio-friendly voice that's unremarkable but sweet and earnestly persuasive all the same. Most of the tunes on The Fun of Your Love have the evanescent quality of unfocused beginner's exercises, yet there are a couple selections that cut deeper and stick to the bone. "Fearless" (a particularly impressive Day original) is a powerful anthem of self-realization. "Gone by Dawn" (cowritten by producer Robert Byrne) is a clear-eyed, resolute kiss-off to a former lover who's no longer worth his weight in heartache. This pair of songs gives listeners a hint of Day's potential, once she takes off the training wheels and hits her stride. --Bob Allen« less

"Jennifer Day's angelic voice sings all of the songs I have ever wanted to sing to a guy. Every one of her songs can connect to almost anyone and tell it just like it is. From the joys of a relationship in "The Fun of Your Love" to finding love in "What If Its Me" and "Someday" and even getting over heartache in "Gone by Dawn". I would definatley recommend this album to ANYONE who was had ANY problems and who have always wondered how to express their feelings. This album has done it, thanks to Jennifer Day."
Future Star, Present Talent

"My first decision to buy this particular album came probably as no shock to any of you. Upon hearing Jennifer's first single "The Fun of Your Love" I was struck heavily by the talent presented through her talented vocals stylings. It is not every day that one hears a twenty year old woman who is just over five feet tall with such a powerful voice. Even though the song is a little "popish" Jennifer is able to bring her powerful talent to the forefront of the cute little number. The rest of the album is shockingly good for a first try, although I would not rank it with SHeDAISY's "The Whole Shebang" which I considered to be the best album released in 1999. This is 2000 though and new talent is coming in left and right and soon enough the sheep will be seperated from the goats. Jennifer deserves 5 stars because of her talent and although she has much room to improve and mature, she still shines like a star in the night. I can't wait to see how she grows, musically, as the years in her career progress. 5 stars. Solid first effort. And she's nice to look at too."

"I love this whole CD! The first time I heard one of her songs was on the TV series, GET REAL. Tell Me I'm the One....what a great song and it's soooo easy to "relate" to all of her songs."
Country's Christina aguilera

"In 2000, what used to be urban music is now pop (NSync, Britney Spears) and what used to be pop/mor is now country. In that vein, we introduce young Jennifer Day as a country artist, although 10 years ago, she'd have been competing for chart space with the likes of Debbie Gibson. Jennifer's blessed with a strong young voice, but the only thing that likens her debut collection to preconceived notions of "country" music is the slight twang in her voice. Otherwise, the title cut from this collection would not be out of place on even r&b radio, in a perfect world. Die-hard, old-school country fans will be no doubt disappointed, but us "new" fans, those of us who ignore genre labels and are just seeking good music with catchy beats and lyrics will surely welcome young Ms.Day and her above-average first effort. From the beat-laden title cut to the midtempo swayer "Somebody Else's Guy," to the heartfelt, lovely "What if it's me,' Day proves that she can hold court with class of 99's teen queens Britney and Christina. She even includes a superior cover of Aguilera's "I turn to You." With proper marketing Jennifer could continue country music's resurgence to mainstream glory and assist in welcoming a new legion of fans into the fold. Don't wait, come aboard now!"

"This album is great! If you like Martina McBride and the Dixie Chicks, you will love Jennifer Day! Her spunky songs really keep you jammin'! Her version of "I Turn To You" rivals Christina Aguilera's! Definately pick this one up!"
