Jennifer Paige is a young Atlanta singer whose first single, "Crush," became a top 10 hit even before the release of her debut album. Less overblown in her delivery than either Celine Dion or Alanis Morissette, Paige saves... more » the histrionics for her lyrics (sometimes self-penned, other times the work of various music-biz pros). Many of these songs speak to the ongoing currency of concepts like obsession and passion in even the most mainstream of pop culture; Paige nearly worries herself into the ground over being trapped in love, going so far as to equate being clean and "Sober" with getting out of a bad relationship. The radio-ready results are sure to appeal to fans of both Dion and those of the more "cerebral" Paula Cole--neither of whom is as likable as Paige is. --Rickey Wright« less

"A message to Mariah & Whitney, holding a note at a very high volume for a long period of time does not necessarily constitute good singing! This girl can sing, but unlike M & W has mastered the all important art of subtlety! To hear ballads sung with a degree of emotion and artistic integrity is a rare treat these days, and Jennifer manages all of these. The only problem with the album is that there isnt much variation, turning it into a ballad album, where a few more uptempo tracks such as "Crush" would have made it a huge hit, but blame the writer/producer, not Jennifer! She has the looks and voice to be really big! So lets have another album with a better mix of tracks. Crush, Sober and Always You are hilights, but there isnt a weak song on this disk. The packaging needed to have more photos and less print, she's a real beauty, so more pictures were needed. I look forward to her next effort!"
GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME: TRAGICALLY UNDERRATED

"I still can't believe how wickedly phenomenal Jennifer Paige is. She's just incredible. I bought her CD after hearing Crush; the song had mesmerized me so much that I decided to take a chance (I usually NEVER buy a CD after listening to only one song; too many bad experiences). Her album is virtually flawless; there's not a single "bad" song on it. Everything on there is pure gold. Before listening to Paige, Céline Dion had been my favorite artist...well, she still is overall. However, when comparing single albums, Jennifer Paige's CD wins hands down. Even Céline's best CDs have at least one or two songs I usually skip over. I wouldn't DREAM of skipping over anything on Paige's CD. The only bad thing about the album is that it's too short! There's only 10 original songs plus one remix. Nevertheless, I have yet to find anyone else like Jennifer Paige. I've seen Paige live in concert at the LA-Pomona fair, and I love how she takes the time to sign every single autograph. I hope she gets the fame she deserves, and I eagerly await her next album."

"I got this album because I heard "Crush" and loved it. Well it turned out that I love every other song in this album, especially "Get to Me"and "Busted". Jennifer's voice is very clear and beautiful, and this is a great & promising album! Can't wait for the next one!"
Pop music at is very best

"Jennifer Paige hit the music scene about when now-reigning teen queen Britney Spears had just put her Mousketeers ears away for good and doned pigtails instead (back when all she wanted was for listeners to hit her one more time) in 1998, releasing a sure-fire hit single "Crush" that easily made its way into the Top 10. Her debut album followed soon after, displaying a true artist in her element. Lush orchestrations and sinful soft pop/rock tuneage chocked the hit-packed record, including tracks "Questions," "Always You" and "Somewhere, Someday" as pop confections. Talented? Oh yeah. Recommended? Definitely."
Excellent!

"I got this cd after hearing "Crush". I loved the song,so I bought the cd. I haven't heard one song on the cd that I didn't like, and have listened to the cd all the way through many times. Jennifer kinda sounds like Mariah Carey, but with a little different sounding. She has a great voice and i'm sure my favorite songs on this cd will soon become hit's worldwide! This cd was well worth my $13.00"
