It?s been an amazing ride for Camp and he capably displays his career highlights here in a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. He plays it safe with basic arrangements throughout, but you will hear some nice piano touches by Justin Glasco on "Right Here" and "Empty Me." The addition of the Nashville String Machine is also used well on "My Desire," which may be the best track on the release. Along with Glasco?s piano accompaniment, Camp delivers powerfully and emotionally here and maybe even surpasses the song?s original version. Camp also shines bright on "Take You Back," "Stay," and "This Man." Kudos also go out to Camp?s wife Adrienne (who used to lead The Benjamin Gate) for some fine backing vocals. Granted, there are a few blemishes such as the cheesy vamp at the end of "Walk By Faith," a slower-than-it-should- be version of "I Still Believe," and the head-scratching cover of Tim Hughes? "Beautiful One." But why major on the minors? Live Unplugged is a worthy effort and a nice inclusion to any Camp fan?s collection. --Michael Lyttle« less

"Jeremy Camp has always been one of my favorite artists from the first time I heard him live on the "Stay" tour. I was hooked by his deep voice, tight music and deeply introspective songwriting. I have followed his career fondly and was intrigued by the prospects of him releasing a live album, I was even more curious when I learned that it was going to be a unplugged set.
This album did not dissapoint. many artists have tried the unplugged route, and most have failed but Mr. Camps style and voice are perfectly suited for this format, plus he has a top notch band performing behind him, including his brother and his wife. Camp hits on all his, well, hits. "Right Here is so sublime when done unplugged and I love the piano solo added to the song.
"Walk By Faith" with the strings in the background just demands lower lights and a cup of coffee. I swear that "Take you Back", "My Desire and "Beautiful Man" were written for just this album.
If you want to relax, unwind, reflect and just feel good get this Album, and that doesnt even hint of the included DVD which is "AWSOME" filmed in a intimate inviroment we get to hear the great music plus enjoy getting to know Jeremy Camp in a real way as he shares the success and the tragedies of his life . Just the fact that he can still sing and belive in a song "Walk By Faith" after losing his first wife to cancer 4 mounths into their marriage is a testemant to this young musician and God. A must have for any CCM fan"

"Camp's voice has a hint of rich masculine edge that's modern and youthful, yet the songs are slow, which should please adult contemporary/ballad fans. The CD takes 3 or so of the best songs from each of Camp's CDs and performs them unplugged (piano, guitars, drums, strings) and live, in a setting that the accompanying DVD shows is one of candlelit intimacy, with Camp sharing personal testimony that makes clear what I always wondered about: how can such a young guy sing about God's faithfulness in trials with such matured-by-life authenticity? Camp explains (on the DVD not CD) that some of his songs were birthed out of the pain of his first wife's unexpected death early in their marriage. My favorite, "I Still Believe" is an expression of Job-like faith (thank you Jeremy Camp--it ministered to me during what turned out to be a temporary blindness: "Even when I cannot see I still believe!") Also great is "Empty Me," a toughly tender song about surrendering oneself to God's refining fire."
"This is the ultimate of all Christian singers in my mind.I just recently bought this cd and dvd and was over whelmed by Jeremy. He is down to earth with a sweetness and innocence about him that anyone will be able to see it. His voice is astonishing and full of God's love.He is definately blessed and expresses it through his music, lyrics and voice.A very talented artist. If I could rate this cd with a million stars and beyond I would gradly do so.Jeremy exibits an awesome love for the Lord and it shows in everything he does.I recommend this cd to everyone.Jeremy explains through his songs who God is,God's love and forgiveness and how you can't live without Him ever. This cd most assuredly allows you to feel God's presence.Jeremy's voice will bring tears to your eyes along with his music.Give it a try. It's worth the money and then some!My pick of the century. This music collection is a bit different than Jeremys usual style of Christian rock and is a laid back, accoustic version. He shows his true self in the dvd part. You will love this I guarentee it! CD and DVD combo WHAT A DEAL!!! I recommend this for everyone of all ages."
