"Especially nice is When the Hunter Gets Captured By The Game, a remake of an early Sixties Motwon hit and Russian Lullaby. Very good effort by Garcia, showcasing the subtleties of his guitar style."
Varied and unique

"If there is a hidden gem left in the archives of popular music, (Compliments of) Garcia is it. The album is very diverse musically, and it is always fun to listen to. Little of it sounds like the Dead, and most of it doesn't even sound like the more recently released live JGB CDs.Jerry gets in some sweet singing and great guitar playing. I remember once being stopped in my tracks by the solo in "Turn on the Bright Lights." And then I remembered who it was . . . Folks, it's a simple truth, Jerry is the ultimate master of the high end of the fretboard.Let it ROCK!"
