There is nothing better that I can imagine...

"First of all, Amazon made a rare mistake by messing up the name of the artist. This is Jerry Goldsmith's rejected score to Ridley Scott's Legend, an attempt at a full fledged fantasy movie from the mid 80's. Tom Cruise hadn't even done Top Gun, and Ferris Beuller's gorgeous girlfriend, Mia Sara, plays Tom's girl in this movie. The score was 'rejected' in favor of some electronic abomination by Tangerine Dream for the US release of this movie to make it more hip for teens because of the Tom Cruise connection, and the fact that the Dream had scored Cruise's Risky Business a few years before. Trying to catch lightining twice I suppose. Anyway, by editing the movie to hell and omitting this magnum opus, the movie utterly failed. It is a shame, becuase Goldsmith really was inspired by the story and ideas in this film. He never has quite hit this kind of high ever again. Lush, etheral, perfect mix of full orchestra, choir, and electronics. This is Jerry Goldsmith at his all time best. This, alond with Island in the Stream ,are his two favorite personal works, and demand to be in ANY music collection. I would have loved to have seen the movie as Goldsmith must have envisioned it. Even at 70 minutes, it still is over with too fast. They just don't do them like this anymore! Wow!"
