"Finally the CD version of this magical soundtrack is available. This is the first time composer Jerry Goldsmith enters the foray of animation and what a good job he has done with the soundtrack. The music encompasses many moods and brings to life the world of animation beautifully. Mr.Goldsmith successfully convey emotions and feelings to the fine art of animation and in doing that the audience is able to feel and appreciate the story even better. My congratulations to Mr.Goldsmith for composing one of his most enduring and beautiful score for a lovely piece of animation. Usually Goldsmith's music is used for the fantasy/horror film genre and with this one, he cleverly combined elements of sentimentality, childhood melodies and a touch of the fantasy world into a score of wonderment. My thumbs up again for this master of film music. Saw the movie years ago and was amaze with the artists and their work and the music really captured my imagainations. The music soars with such excitement without being too agresive and gently envelopes the scenes neatly. Wanted to get hold of the soundtrack for years and finally got it and now I can relish in the music that fascinated me for years. This scores takes a prominent place with his other scores for movies like 'The Omen', Poltergeist', 'Star Trek-The Motion Picture', 'Legend' and 'The Mummy'."
A Masterpiece

"When first seeing this movie when I was a child, I was awestruck with the lush animation. I watched it over and over. The music had been written into my memory and I had to have it. Each time I listen to this score it keeps getting better and better. The themes are very moody and associative. This is my all time favorite score, and I would recommend this to anyone who has, or has not seen the movie. A word to describe this epic score... "Masterpiece"."

"I have always liked Jerry Goldsmith, but this is one of his better scores. Even though the movie is kind of short, he brings life to it through his music. The themes he gives to the characters makes you feel for them, makes you attached to them. There are also parts in the movie that are very magical, and as a person studying composition in college, I can tell you it is very hard to compose something that sounds magical and breathtaking. He does it with ease and perfection. Even though it is quite expensive, take the money to get this, because I can tell you now, it is well worth it."
Absolutely the best!

"I first became a movie score fan when i was exposed to Jerry Goldsmith in this film. I watched the movie over and over again both because it was a good movie and because the music was great. Every time I hear the CD start, with the chorus, I get chills down my spine. His use of music is not cartoonish in any way, it's written like a real life movie score. His use of a chorus is beautiful, and he creates some strange sounds with his music, such as the sting in "Sentry Reel". His themes are very creative and beautiful as well. Goldsmith deserves an Oscar or a nomination for this soundtrack. It is the best!!"
Excellent Soundtrack

"If you're a fan of this film, then get this soundtrack. The "Flying Dreams" track is reason enough to get it. It's also one of the "last" great soundtracks you bought on its own merits... not because so-and-so was in it or it was the album to have."
