"This album of Jerry Rivera is absolutely outstanding, including some of the best salsa I have ever heard. With top arrangers like Angel Cucco Peña y Cuto Soto, Ramon Sanchez, every song on this album is top of the line. Complex jazz lines, incredible keyboard work, and terrific background vocals are the hallmarks of this exhilirating album. Don't expect anything traditional here, this salsa is slick and modern.Particulary good are the title song, and the amazing Yo Quisiera ser el Condor, which a fusion of salsa and Columbia folk. It often seems like a full orchestra is being employed.Jerry has typical salsero voice, ie., high and nasal, but he can be surprisingly warm and emotive in songs like Pienso en ti and Como tu. Technically, he is an extremely skilled singer, with no weaknesses whatsover. He has some high notes worthy of an opera singer. Mention should also be made of the extremely vivid sound quality of this CD. And the pics of him are pretty darn vivid too. Muy caliente hombre! This is one of Jerry's very best albums, far superior the previous year's Fresco."
