"Junk like this should not be allowed to be sold. Jerry Wallace, a pop/country singer with more than a dozen pop charted singles to his credit, should not have his material subjugated to this treatment. Most of the tracks on this CD have been mastered at the wrong speed making Wallace sound like a juvenile soprano. Unfortunately, there are no other compilations of Wallace's hits available but even so, forget this. There is a Collectables Wallace CD available but it contains only a few major hits with mostly album filler. Wallace's hits, at this time, are not to be found on any high-quality CD."

"This CD is not only mastered at the wrong speed, THESE ARE RE-RECORDINGS. Can't ANY record company do anything right anymore. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING THIS CD, IT IS JUNK!!"

"I listened to the sample (thankfully) given here. The previous reviewer is correct -- Jerry Wallace has not been mixed properly here. This recording must have been made by chipmunks trying to mimmick his style.
A lot of this goes on .... is there nothing sacred about our musical heritage? The first reviewer should be thankful he got a cassette copy, probably made before this blasphemous remix."
A disaster, avoid it!

"When I heard the news that there was a Jerry Wallace hits CD released, I was elated. He's one of my favorite singers of all time. I purchased the CD, put it in my car player, and cringed. It's too fast! Way too fast pitch wise. The mixes are original, the song selection was excellent, but this otherwise excellent collection was spoiled by a transfer engineer who didn't pay attention. A pity as it was otherwise fine. Curb Records, shame on you for even approving this disaster. Instead, purchase the upcoming collection from Varese Vintage which will likely be the best you can get short of original vinyl."
A Very Talented Singer... A Very Untalented Recording Engine

"I'm glad I listened to the sample songs, Primrose Lane and In The Misty Moonlight, before ordering this CD. Because what I heard on these samples is NOT what I heard on the radio back when they were originally released.
Some of the other reviewers said that Jerry's voice has been speeded up and raised in pitch, and they were right. And this has ruined the songs for all who want (and should expect) to hear them as they sounded originally. It's too bad that the works of someone so talented were entrusted to someone who wasn't."
