"Stand is Jewel's second single and it has done fairly well in the United States and is making its way to the top of the chart internationally. Stand has positioned itself itself in #1 spot in the Billboard Dance chart for a few weeks. The remixes in the CD are definitely dance-able! All of the remixes are distinguishly different and enjoyable. I think that it is great that Jewel is making a STAND in the dance genre! Keep up your motivation to produce new music genres. Keep rocking the boat Jewel!"
Third Number One Club Track from Jewel.

"This is the third club track released from Jewel and it is her third number one club track on Billboard. The song is one of the troubles of the world as seen through Jewel's eyes and the quirky way she sees things. So for a dance record it is not your typical LA LA LA type of song- deeper than that. The mixes are from house all the way to drum and bass. The first 2 remixes are mainstream house mixes that work the vocals the best:Markus Schulz Club Mix(6:49) and Mike Rizzo Remix(8:04) are great. The Scumfrog Extended Re-Hash Mix(7:40) is what most club djs are playing- it is mostly the dub of the song with the line "Hookers and Hash" being lopped for most of the song. Excellent. The Boris & Beck Club Mix(6:29) messes with the vocals a bit but is the best mix here. The tracks 5,7 & 8 are all Bastone & Burnz mixes to a varying degree of success. Their Club Mix(7:12) is house but the way they mix the vocal in(it is slowed down a bit) doesn't work that well.Their Del Moody Mix(5:24) is better and is a more mid tempo type of mix while their Drum & Bass Mix(5:35) really shows off the potential of their work best. The track 6 is the Markus Schulz Coldharbour Mix(9:51) and is a beautiful trance dub mix of the song. Another club winner for Jewel."
She Does It Again!

"Jewel is crowding up the dancefloor with her new single STAND> The original is classic and the remixes are awesome. They follow more or less the path of her last two singels but different in a unique way. Although they are remixes, it still stays very true to the original which is not the case for the singel Intuition. These remixes do sound like the song which is why I love it so much, full of lyrics and great dance beats, and each one is different, no repetitions here. Also she stays away from past remixers and goes with remixers like Mike Rizzo, which is great. So if you wanna get pumped to go out on any night, buy this cd and pump it up."

"Whata wonderful way of showcasing that Jewel is a true star!. Making her selfconcious single "Stand" a dance track, since I been a faithful fan of Jewel with Who Will Save Your Soul, many will think I hated this!, but not!, I Love THis!, Jewel is like the Beatles or Madonna she can change styles, rhythms, whatver, but she will still be surrounded by her deep intellignet lyrics, and this Remixes, sound so great!, well done, so far to been clasified as cheap dance tunes, this is a great CD to buy, worth the money!"
Fantastic mixes of an intriguing song...

"I'm not a huge Jewel fan, but since the Intuition Maxi-Single (Brilliant remixes) and the release of this 8-track maxi, I "stand" converted! Jewel has employed some phenomenal DJ's to mix her tracks and it's only fitting that this CD Maxi-Single opens with what I believe to be the best of the lot - Markus Schulz has constructed a fantastic remix of the album version and taken it to a completely new level altogether. He employs a bit of trance, a touch of tribal, all mixed into with a solid dance beat and a brilliant chorus to create this gem of a mix.The Scumfrog and Bastone & Burnz mixes are 'dubby' in nature - less vocals and more emphasis on the music. But the mixes are solid and sure to fill any dance floor.Boris and Beck contribute a very good vocal club mix that is defeinitely worth checking out, and while Markus Schulz's second contribution to this maxi-CD is a tad bland, the mix is worth a repeat listen.Overall, this is a brilliant maxi-single for fans of well-constructed mixes. These mixes have (and will) pleas club-goers across the world, and ultimately it's the strength of the intriguing lyrics of Stand as well as some great remix production that makes this CD Single a must for every dance music fan. Thumbs up to Jewel for this new direction!"
