The Must-Have Contemporary Christian Album- Period!

"This album has such an intense amount of depth and attainable Christian insight. In a world where there are so many artists there that appear to be speaking in toungues - JILL PHILLIPS has the gift of speaking to your heart and soul, and interlaces such common themes, as loss, trust, faith, love, and most of all hope- with out cramming ANY cheesiness down your throat.
Her lyrics are poetic in nature, and on the audio canvas- she paints a tapestry of 'the everyman' that doesnt have all the answers, and makes mistakes- but ultimately knows where the road is and does his or her best to stay close to that road.
The instrumentation is Grammy- solid. From the strings, to the lilting guitar tracks- you can hear the sweat and tears that went into making this album.
Kudos to Matt Stanfield- of PLUMB fame- for producing such a musical gem. No stone was left unturned.
Beautiful sentiments, engaging lyrics, soothing-yet powerhouse vocals, and most of all- a prevailing message of 'Grace and Peace to you through our Lord Jesus!'
Highly, HIGHLY Reccomended."

"Jill Phillip's third album showcases a talent that should be more widely known throughout the CCM scene. She and her husband, Andy Gullahorn are writing some of the best lyrics in contemporary music today. Her style is accessible, but never trite; the music and lyrics are both challenging and pleasing to the ear.
As in her first album (self-titled) she never hesitates to be honest with the listener. With the song title "Buried Alive" challenging listeners on her first album, "Wrecking Ball" will do the same on this CD. But effortlessly, Phillips turns to the quiter side of spirituality with "Even Still", and "Still is My Soul".
This is an artist who connects with her listeners by singing what it means to be an "everyday Christian"; not knowing all of the answers, wanting more from her relationship with God, and bringing us along for the ride."
Christian Music's Best Kept Secret

"I've never heard of Jill Phillips until i was passing by ( in my local christian store) one of her cds. I'm always jacked up for new promising talents in christian music so i decided to give the cd a shot. The vocals, the lyrics, the melodies were so engaging and at times, I just wanted to linguer on the lyrics. The album has such a comforting feeling; I often felt she was spilling her heart out right in front of me.But Jill Phillips delivers more than just comfort it's complete honesty. Rather a preached message of " submit yourself to God" and live by a letter law. I see other christian acts constantly preaching about the " do that's" rather preach about Jesus's love and mercy. Jill broke that mold and opened up a new window for people to see CCM music in another way. Thank you Jill."

"First of all, Jill Phillips's lyrics are some of the most insightful, touching and comforting. Simply reading her lyrics on the CD insert touches me deeply. Add to that her great crisp voice with a great melody, and there you have an intimate conversation with God. My favorite song on this album is "God Believes in You" which helped me through many difficult times I've had. I strongly recommend any believer to own this album."
