"This was the music I grew up listening to and since my father knows Jim Boyd I heard alot more than most. I myself am a Lake Indian from the Bands of Colville Rez. I find this particular compsite very descriptive on what life was like on the Colville Rez and being born and raised there I would know. The band is beautifully arranged with flutes and drums. I have all of his Cd's and hoping for more. Thank you for putting this on your website and making it available to buy because my tape was worn out.

"I have seen Jim live many times at various northwest festivals and always keep my eye open for him, i have purchased several of his his records and truely enjoy all of them, this first record has a real charm to it... a different space than the others maybe more primative but it has somthing very...very special, "Power of the star" is in a space unto itself and "Old Friend" an emotional tale and an early glimpse of the depth of Mr. Boyds song writing prowess... buy it"
