"On February 18, 1969, Jimi Hendrix played The Royal Albert Hall. It was filmed and recorded. The film was never released. The the film's soundtrack was released on 2 LP records-- "Soundtrack to the Film "Experience" and "More Experience." This CD includes both of them. This show has also been heavily bootlegged over the last 40 years.



The sound quality on these releases has never been very good. One suspects that the source comes from the videotape master, and not the audio-tape master, as mastering at Royal Albert Hall for other acts previous to this was professionally done, and sounds great.



A cheaper edition of the same performance (but no better sound-wise)may be found here:The Albert Hall Experience for quite a bit less. Jimi's sister, Janie, who is responsible for all the Experience Hendrix Family Trust releases, has assured fans for several years that this film (and the accompanying soundtrack) will see future release "soon." So you may want to wait and see if they break out the master tapes for that set before buying this one."
