Only a small sample of a prolific artist

"BEST OF only skims the surface of Jimmie Rodgers' diverse and prolific catalog of songs. The big hits of the late 50s are best known, but it would be great to have a box set or a series of 2-for-one CD reissues of his albums for Dot, Roulette and A&M. I also like WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND (the song and the A&M album), which was Rodgers' successful comeback album a year after the beating incident. Items I'd like to see reissued include "English Country Garden," "The World I Used to Know," WINDMILLS, CHILD OF CLAY and TROUBLED TIMES (3 albums on A&M along with 45 single non-album tracks "Shadows," "Father Paul" and "What a Strange Town") and the Dot albums ITS OVER and TOWN AND COUNTRY. Jimmie Rodgers recently put together a song and story show in Branson, Mo. I hope fan response encourages him to take his show on tour as soon as his schedule permits."
Another great Jimmie Rodgers Compilation!

"It is amazing how completely Jimmie Rodgers seems to have faded from our collective consciousness, for this was a star who was consistently on the top ten list for years in the late 1950s. From his signature "Honeycomb" to "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine", from "Ring-A-Ling-A-Lario" to "Are You Really Really Mine", he was always on the radio and always on American Bandstand. The List of hits goes on and on, including "Secretly", "The Wizard", "Bimbombey", "Oh-Oh, I'm Falling In Love Again", "Tucumcari", and "It's Over". All of these and more are included here, and they provide the listener with a great sampling of all of the hits this guy was capable of pumping out. This is great stuff, and it is mysterious to me that he seems to have escaped popular notice in the decades since. Enjoy!"
