"It is sad that Jimmie Rodgers output on Dot, and A&M is not avaiable. The A&M "Child of Clay" album is Jimmie at his best. You can't even find "The World I Used To Know" or "Two Ten Six Eighteen,Ten Forty Four" If you have never heard Jimmie do "The Lovers" you have missed a real storyteller. The Rhino compilation is the best out there now; but please One Way, Collectables or Bear please give us some substance of this great artist, not just the hits package. "It's Over", written by Jimmie, is worth the price of any CD it's on. What a great voice."

"Jimmie has been a favorite of mine since he first recorded Honeycomb. This whole CD is top quality Jimmie. Most of the songs are upbeat and his voice is wonderful. We saw him two years ago in Branson and he is just as good now as he was way back then, and is an especially nice man too. Wish he would record something new."
Great Songs, Incomplete Collection

"I have to echo everyone else's feelings here: Every cut on this CD is a gem, but so much of Jimmie Rodgers' fine work is missing from this or any other compilation available. Half of the songs on this one are from just two of his albums on Dot Records ("No One Will Ever Know" and "Honeycomb/Kisses Sweeter Than Wine"). That's not to say this CD isn't worth having--it has his biggest hits from the late fifties that most people are familiar with and a handful of other nuggets. His rendition of "Born to Lose" is as good as any I've ever heard and his vocals on the ballads "It's Over" and "Danny Boy" are top-knotch. Jimmie Rodgers was an artist who covered a wide range of music beautifully and this CD gives a good sample of that. Hopefully, that box set his fans have been wanting is somewhere in the works."
Great start; hope to hear more

"Jimmie Rodgers has been a favorite for more than 30 years. Bought this one just to get "It's Over." Hope someone will put out a box set of his work. Better yet, why not reissue all his vintage albums on Roulette, Dot and A&M?"
Really fantastic

"I want to read about his life but when I search for him on the internet all I get is the older Jimmie Rodgers, father of country music. Any suggestions on biography?"
