"it's back time to get it! This is part of jazz history, free jazz, after that, what could have been done?
Two live albums from a tour in germany, Flight and Emphasis. Emphasis is played without a word and on flight jimmy talks a bit, not mush, few words, titles of pieces... Flight as some new composition which are not on "1961" verve album. But here the trio is much more wild, more intense, paul Bley put the strings of is piano with is hands sometimes and Giuffre is some track is more agressive thn usual and Swallow keeps theme all together.
The sound recording is really really good, the bass is heard clearly and the spectators are quiet and never claps hands during the the musicans paly (i like it) and nobady cough :)
Call of the Centaur and Postures are some of my favoritee JG3 pieces.
it won't be available so long like all the hatology issue.
