"Jimmy Nail is a knock-about kind of guy from England's north (Newcastle). he has been singing and acting for many years. This CD is a soundtrack to the outstanding TV mini-series of the same name. Jimmy plays Jed an aspiring musician living an otherwise dreary life as a factory worker in Newcastle. A tape of his songs ends up with a 'fast' London music scout and Jimmy gets his big break. The songs have a definite country flavour. They are well written and performed and this is Jimmy's most consistent and impressive CD. I play it at least once a week, whether at home, in the car or working out in the gym. It's great but means a whole lot more if you've seen the TV show!"
A wonderful singer

"I love this cd. I have only seen a couple of episodes from the tv series, so can't comment much on that. But the music on this album is wonderful. You really do not need to see the show to enjoy this music. It has a country flavour, although not completely country. He has a wonderful voice. I can never get tired of listening. Every song on here is a good song. If you enjoy contemporary country and pop, then you will for sure like this album. The 12 page booklet contains all lyrics and loads of photos. Highly recommended."

"I first saw the tv series which was excellent. I subsequently bought the cd. It has a good beat and I continue to play and enjoy it. For those who have not seen the series I suggest that you listen before you buy, it's not for everyone."
