"This is the very masterpiece of Jimmy Smith, the second half is on 'The Master II'. He plays with utmost perfect timing and swing. This live recording from December 24-25 in 1993 with the trio including Kenny Burrell on guitar and Jimmie Smith on drums contains many of his famous tunes in versions that are the best ever. I rate this as one of my organ jazz references together with (of course) 'The Master II', Richard Groove Holmes 'At Basies Band Stand' and the swedish master Pierre Sward 'Organ Jazzn Soul'. If You are into Hammond Organ Jazz, this is it!"
