"This is not one of the greatest compilations of Jo Stafford's recordings. But, because it bears her name, it deserves 5 stars. She is one of the greatest singers of our time, and anything she has recorded is worth buying! What this disk does have going for it is, to my knowledge, the only cd availabiity of her 1960's version of "Make Love to Me", as well as her recording, with Gordon MacRea, of "'A' You're Adorable". To me, just to have "Make Love to Me" on cd is worth the price of this disk alone. I play it all the time! I do feel the title of this disk is misleading, though. Maybe it should be, "Some of", or, "A Few Of", Jo Stafford's Hits. What happened to all her work with the Pied Pipers (such as "I'll Never Smile Again"), not to mention her solo hits, "Little Man With The Candy Cigar", "For You", "The Things We Did Last Summer", "I Should Care", and "Hawaiian War Chant" (yet to be released on cd!), just to name a few? Still, I would recommend this disk to any newcomer to Jo Stafford's art. She is the best."
Great Singer, Poor CD Production

"What a shame that Jo and her voice of 'liquid velvet' get such poor production on this Curb CD! However, even Curb can't ruin the radiance of her voice, the power of her delivery, and the subtlety of her interpretations. Truly, as with all of her other recordings, it's easy to see why she was tops in the American pop genre for nearly ten years. I purchase CD's like this because I want all of her recordings. I look forward to a CD with production quality to match her voice. Worth buying, with reservations."

"Jo is the greatest and this recording does her justice.
"You Belong To Me" alone is worth the price of the CD.
Buy this one!!!"
Well done and smooth

"This recording of Jo Stafford is a fine example of her versatility and you get Johnny Mercer and Gordon MacRae thrown in. Thanks to being digitally remastered you get an excellent sound quality recording. If you like Jo Stafford or this era in music, you will not be dissapointed."
