Excellent music, lyrics, but...

"I find the songs in this title very intimate, the most sensual of Serrat's work (wow). I agree with another reviewer of Serrat: you should not buy compilations, but each title Serrat has released is an opus. The flow from song to song is part of the poetry.I used to own the cassette, and it wore off after so much listening. My only criticism to "1978" is that the transfer to CD was poorly calibrated and Serrat's voice sounds like inside a metal box and at a quieter volume. This was NOT the case in the cassette I owned, so I know that a good recording exists. I still find that for this price, buying the CD is worth the effort. The songs are paused with beautiful arrangements that should not be hard for a non spanish/castillian speaker.I hope there is a better transfer of this CD in the future. I would definitely buy it again."
