JOLTIN JOE

"Funny how time appears to change the way critics feel about artists. I remember this one got bashed for being a poor imitation of Elvis Costello (as did almost every Joe Jackson release up until Night and Day). I guess with a lot of the one hit wonder dregs of new wave music that were to come in hindsight this one is pretty good isn't it? Bright, energetic, bouncy pop songs that sound fresh to this day and bring me back to my youth."
He's Da Man On This One

"Without a doubt this is the strongest release from this new wave artist from the late seventies-early eighties. This album has rocks with rhythm and bounces with beat that will keep your body shaking and you movin' your feet. So much for my ability to rhyme. On top of all that, this Jackson relates to many of us who went through many trials and tribulations during our teenage years. That alone makes Joe Da Man in my book."
