"Most 'supporters' of Joe McIntyre have already heard about the New Kids on the Block reunion, but not all of them know about Joe's solo career. If you're new to Joe Mac minus the other four Beantown boys, I suggest getting a copy of "One Too Many: Live From New York" before you can't get one anymore. Joe sounds incredible live, and you can tell he was enjoying himself this night.
Highlights include the better-than-the-original versions of NKOTB's "Cover Girl" (sorry Donnie), U2's "One/ With or Without You" and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" along with amazing renditions of Joe's own music (from the albums "Stay the Same" and "Meet Joe Mac") and some new stuff that he later recorded for "8:09" and "Talk to Me."
Of Joe Mac's solo albums, this is far and away my favorite. The energy, the fun and the music are all there. It captures just a bit of what it's like to see him perform live, and it's worth every penny."
