"Bought this CD on a whim after hearing a few minutes of the title track played on the in-store sound system in The Nature Company. It was worth it. Some parts of the music remind me of other things, just a few notes, and that's pretty nice. The rhythm is great, the music has good direction unlike some music in its style, and the composition is truly gifted. (It is not what I would call active listening music, but it is not cheesy background muzak either... it really is a beautiful thing to work or read to!) I am looking forward to the next album from this guy, hopefully he won't ruin his beautiful instrumentals with vocals -- the music speaks already for itself. A voice speaking words could never express what the guitar, drum, and flute can."

"I first heard this CD in an ocean side restaurant in a remote retreat on Yucatan. They played it every day. EAch day I came to love it more. Upon return to the States, I bought my own copy. I have continued to listen to it almost every day, for the last 45 days. I don't know enough about this genre to make technical remarks. All I can offer is this: Everytime I listen to this CD, I hear more, feel more, and experience more. I have a deeper experience with this music each listen. It contains some of the most amazing guitar I have ever heard. ... A friend listening to it for the first time two days ago was moved to tears."
My goodness, what an Outstanding CD !!!

"Folks, let me tell you, this is one HOT CD - absolutely first class. I just purchased it and have been unable to stop listening to it. I've purchased CD's by other artists of this style ("nouveau flamengo") and have enjoyed them all. This the first time I have ever heard Johannes Linstread, and I am simply blown away. Truly hypnotic and most enjoyable. If you enjoy the soul stirring power of this new style of music, then by all means treat yourself to something really special. I am most pleased to give this CD my very highest recommendation. Enjoy!"
Highly recommended

"Beautiful, excellent rhythms without the sometimes hard-to-tolerate harsh vocals of some of the Latin syle recordings. I have been searcing for a while now to find something comparable and cannot. If you like Latin guitar, you will love this!!!!!"

"I first heard this Cd being played in a store in a Miami florida mall and fell in love with it, although the store was not a music store they did sell the cd and I bought it.
I normally do not like just "music" and no singing but this CD is the exception, all of the songs are both relaxing and moving I highly recommend this cd if you want to lay on your patio and sip a cool drink, or just relax anywhere, it drifts you off to exotic places."
