A truly horrible recording! EXCEPT...

"This is another one of these dreadful releases that should never have seen the light of day - like the '61 Helsinki and the '62 Milano recordings. They all have phasing problems and sound like they were recorded under water.
They are an INSULT to both your ears and to Trane's memory.
EXCEPT: On this one the last track, "After the Rain" (5:37), is the only recording we have of Big John at the piano. It sounds like he's having a personal quiet moment on stage between sets, playing solo.
It's not much, equally badly recorded, with bar noises obscuring much of it. It's nice, not great, and probably wasn't meant to be heard, but if for you Coltrane is the 20th century's greatest musician, as he is for me, you'll probably want to hear it anyway...
FOR TOTAL TRANE ADDICTS ONLY!"
