"John at his most touching. In "Love" Lennon's voice is soft and sonically perfect (When isn't it?). Accompanied by piano and acoustic guitar this song quickly became my favorite from "Plastic Ono Band". He's not making any of his famous political points like "Imagine", "God" or "Woman is the Nigger of the World". If your in love this song sums up your feelings. If you can't find love this song will bring you to tears. John Lennon's cover of Ben E. King's classic "Stand By Me" fit's in perfectly after "Love" and one of a handful of re-makes that can stand up to the originals. Great production and John sings with all his energy like it was one of his own. The only bad thing about this single is that it doesn't go on forever. Oh well, it is a single. If you like it you'll love the albums "Imagine" and "Plastic Ono Band"."
