"This is an unbelievable deal for anyone who loves the classical jazz sound of John Lewis and the Modern Jazz Quartet. Four albums for the price of one and at least one of them is out of print. In my opinion the album "No Sun In Venice" is the greatest studio album the Modern Jazz Quartet made and is only rivaled by the outstanding 'Final Concert' and the import "Modern Jazz Quartet in Japan 1966" which is now out of print. No Sun In Venice alone is worth the price. Then there is the Modern Jazz Society Presents album which the Penguin Guide to Jazz gave a rosetta stone to as an essential recording several years back. They have since had to withdraw it because it has been out of print for many years now. I have it after many years of trying to track it down and it also would be worth the price of this one on its own. You also get the Modern Jazz Sextet which is MJQ playing with Dizzy Gillespie and Sonny Stitt essentially and is a good cd although it pales in comparisson to the other two aforementioned. I am not as familiar with the other tracks on the cd but rarely are you dissapointed when it comes to anything John Lewis put out in his illustrious career. Besides you are getting two essential jazz recordings already so the rest is just icing on the cake really. If you don't have these check it out I don't think you will regret it."
