Something of high quality for everyone

"Having listened to and enjoyed this CD a lot recently, I have many favorite tracks -- for instance, "Face the wind" and "Oma wani yea" -- both of which feature the incandescent vocals of American Indian singer Pura Fe. And several tracks highlight McDowell's eloquent, moving and precise piano playing, especially "Vanya don't go away" and "Piano raga." Many things stand out about this CD -- the high quality of the collaborative instrumentalists and singers, the seamless production and the recording's eclectic nature. As cliché as it might sound, there is something for everyone, from dance grooves to meditative instrumentals to African and Latin rhythms and chants. I love it!"
