"John Michael Talbot has been writing and singing some of the most beautiful, peaceful music I've ever heard. A long time fan, I have every one of his titles and "Wisdom" will find a place in my collection. I'd highly recommend his music if you like calm, classical music that exalts God. Unlike most of modern day Christian "rock" Talbot's music transcends this age and I believe remain a classic always."
A Great New CD!

"I was blessed to receive this CD as pre-release in last May when I saw John Michael Talbot at a bookseller's convention. Like most of his works, this too is quite mellow and contemplative. I have enjoyed listening to it from the first time on! I do not completely agree with all of his theology, but the theology is not shoved down your throat and I can still appreciate the work. The one warning I have with this CD, as well as the majority of his work, is that most of the songs are in a minor key. While this is great for contemplation, too much music in a minor key can bring some people down.My favorite selection from this CD is "In God's Peace (On Early Death)." This song really puts into perspective our journey here on earth and the glory that awaits those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Messiah in Heaven."

"Wisdom is a breath of fresh air. It was a trip back to the differing nuances of his Regathering and Heart of the Shepherd work. I love Wisdon. Swift to Hear, Slow to Answer is a beautiful, meditative peace with JMT's guitar riffs in the background adding a beautiful flair to a neo-classical piece. Just a great work that will be way too underappreciated."
An "unwise" choice

"As a longtime fan of John Michael Talbot's music, I was looking forward to owning the "Wisdom" album. But it has proved such a huge disappointment, I wish I could return it. (Am thinking of giving it away ...) Usually, the great thing about his songs is that they're very sing-able. But on the "Wisdom" album, most of the songs neither rhyme nor contain choruses that repeat. They're basically sung poems from the Apocryphal "wisdom" literature. And frankly, they all sound alike and aren't very interesting, musically. "The Cross is Foolishness" was the only track I thought was lyrical and more like his older work."
