"This CD is lots of fun to listen to and shares a wide range of musical emotion. John Pizzarelli is an extremely talented guitar player and his selection of songs is notable. From the clever and whimsical song "Best Man" about a smooth talker who ends up being"the best man when she married my best friend" to Strayhorn's haunting "Passion Flower," this CD takes the listener on an enjoyable musical journey."

"I thought about a title for this review but when I saw the other review "lots of fun", it made me laugh because he wrote down almost the same title I had in my mind. Well, 2 minds that think alike listen to the same great swing. Musically, Skill, & Style this CD should get a rating of "5" but I am giving it a "4" because I have to be in the mood. This is fun stuff with a clean production, but Chesky is normally know for this using minimal mikes & no overdubbing. Jazz classics from Nat King Cole, George & Ira Gershwin, Duke Ellington, & a few others all done with a trio of guitar, bass, & drums with piano & a trumpet at times. John Pizzarelli has a very clean & happy singing voice & at times scats. This will make a good party CD. Maybe that is why I am giving it a "4" because I am writing this review by myself in the dark. Where's the party?"
