Hats Off To Mr Renborn

"John Renborn, perhaps the quintessential British folkie renders a most American offering. Just check out the titles, White House Blues, Kokomo Blues, Buffalo Skinners. Why Hell, you'd think this chap was raised in the Black Hills of Kentucky. But give credit where credit is due, he pulls it off, while at the same time remaining true to his own Limie roots. Hats off to John Renborn for a showing the Yanks just what's he's made of."
Acoustic master at his best

"My personal favorite of Mr. Renbourn's repertoire. Incomparable acoustic guitar (and very nice electric too) on largely traditional offerings, with his understated vocals (and some Pentangle company backup) that enhance the overall quality. Very bluesey; "Kokomo Blues" and "Country Blues" are beautiful. Americana blues of a bygone era by a (another) British Islander never sounded so good."
