"I was fortunate enough to purchase "The Last Campaign" on LP as part of a limited, autographed, and numbered edition back in 1985. It is one of my most treasured possessions. This is a collection of songs that John wrote and performed while on the campaign trail with Robert Kennedy. All songs are newly recorded and produced by John. They are masterfully threaded together creating, as John suggests, a "musical movie of those magical days in 1968." Songs on the album are: "Clack Clack," "Oldest Living Son," "You Can't Go Back To Kansas," "The Pirates of Stone County Road," "Dreamers On The Rise," "Cody," "Spirit/Survivors," "Hearts and Dreams on the Line," "Crying in the Storm," and "Last Campaign.""
