"I stumbled across Johnny and the Fish purely by accident at a store in South Africa where this group is virtually unknown. This particular disc is full of raw raunchy blues the likes of which I had never heard before. The harmonica, piano and guitar playing is simply phenomenal. The voices are just as good. If you are a lover of the blues, BUY THIS.After first hearing this disc, I now own all 3 of their discs."

"For those purists who feel that great blues can either come from the South or from the cities, Johnny Hoy stands as a proud testament to the fact that great Blues can come from just about anywhere. Hoy has spent most of his musical career on the seacoast of Massachusetts and still has the soul to show that he can play with the best of them.
Hoy plays straight-on hard-edge Blues harmonica and backs it with a band that is as tight as any of it's counterparts in Chicago. I almost wish that he wasn't as much of a homebody and would tour more, so that the rest of the world could catch his live shows...he's that good!!!
I definitely recommend that you add this CD to your collection"
