"Out of 17 top 40 hits throughout his career, this collection has the bulk of his top 40 hits on Imperial which is the label his most important output was released on. Out of the 15 tracks on here, 14/15 are his entire top 40 chart output although a cover of "Under Your Spell Again" is replaced with "Look To Your Soul," but other than that one gripe, this is the definitive Imperial era Johnny Rivers single disc collection you can buy. If you can afford the extra dollars, you can get all of this and more on Rhino's 2 CD Anthology or you can go for the budget 10 Best disc, but that isn't enough music at all. This is the cream of the crop so if you are on a budget and want only one Johnny Rivers compilation, this compilation from 1987, now OOP, but still available at BMG Music Service so BMG members or people who are interested in joining BMG, get this collection right away as this is the cream of the crop. The only thorough single CD still in print and available here at Amazon is the Soul City disc of re-recordings of these songs, but instead of the Soul City disc, get this one or the 2 CD anthology."
