"If you want the original hits, and the most complete compilation available at this time, then this is the ESSENTIAL CD you need--and you had better grab it while it is still available! Although Johnny had 34 songs to hit the CW top 30 (6 reached #1 and 20 were in the top 10), he has never received the credit, and acclaim, he deserves. Fortunately for his fans, Johnny is again performing."

"Get this one. If you're afraid to spend a little dough, then by all means get his "Hits" album, which covers the first few years of Johnny's music (and it is well worth the money). But, this import "Desperado, His first 20 hits", includes quite a few more songs, including two that absolutely MUST be included in any real collection: "Pass Me By" and "If Practice Makes Perfect". Folks, I'm wearing this one out. If country music were only still this good. These are original recordings, and will not disappoint."
