"this is probably a good starting place for those who aren't too familiar with the great JT. a lot of the classics; chinese rocks, pirate love, memory, it's not enough... "I CAN COUNT ON DIAMONDS, AND RUBIES AS WELL, OH BIG DEAL BABY; I STEAL FEEL LIKE HELL, IT'S NOT ENOUGH".. classic.. i think it's awesome they put countdown love on here, not so many people know that one and it's a great song. one song they left out, though, that belongs here is 'just another girl' (they should have put the cut of it from stations of the cross on). anyway, if you get this and like it, you gotta check out the great classic JT live albums like Stations of the Cross, In Cold Blood, DTK, etc.. also, for an incomplete collection of johnny music see http://el8.net/~twd/johnny ... theres some of the good live stuff on there.. buy the albums, though!"

"For neophytes wishing to engage in the Johnny Thunders experience, begin here. This ranges from Heartbreakers rock-outs to why-I-got-arrested-in-Montmartre, slurring sneers, to the sweet acoustic stuff that could charm oatmeal (and beat it out of forty-five bucks). It's worth the price for "Born to Cry" alone."
Well worth it

"OK, well, I'm a fan, and think there are some great moments on this 2 disc set. If I was going to buy just 1 JT album, it would be this, with LAMF as the second and then the other 12 or so would not be worth the incremental bang for the buck. (How many stoned out versions of Blame it on Mom do you want?) Still, every time I listen to any JT, it makes me think how much talent was wasted to his dope problem. He could've been the champion."
