"This was Jon Lucien's first album of new material since "Romantico" back in the late 70's or was it early 80's. During the eighties he appeared as a guest artist on many recordings, such as Grover Washington's Inside Moves, Weather Report's Mr. Gone, and on a forgettable soundtrack "Separate Vacations" to name a few.Listen Love marked a return to form for Jon Lucien. He very much at home spinning tales of romance that surely could not take place anywhere else but on a deserted island cove or some other exotic locale... The results are mesmerizing.I recall a deejay commenting that Listen Love was the Rashida of the 90's..... well, while it is a good album, I attribute such a comment to a matter of friendly PR.I do remember Jon Lucien promoting this album and was lucky enough to see him in concert at the fabled "Strand" in Redondo Beach.Anyone who has witnessed a performance by Jon Lucien will tell you - this guy sounds even better live."

"Singer and songwriter Jon Lucien first came to my attention around the year 1975 with his album "Song For My Lady".And I instantly took note of this extremely talented caribbean singer.So a few days ago went I was going through some old music tapes I have.I came across "Listen Love".And to my delight rediscoverd this beautiful album once again.Listen Love is a 1991 album by Jon Lucien and it catches the caribbean singer at his best.The sound of the album is still fresh and seductive with songs like Sweet Control,Nothin Lasts Forever and You Don"t Need Me.And the song I like the most You"re Sensational.This song is full of seductive lyrics proveing that a song can be romantic without useing the words "I Love You".I remember the first time heard the song.It was at a FREE Jon Lucien concert in the park with my girlfriend.It was a great day,a great show and a great singer.Very fan of Jon Lucien should have this album.And if you"re not a fan.This album will make you one."
