"For reviews of this recording go to Bach: Brandenberg Concertos
As for how the remastering went - I haven't heard it yet, but I doubt they screwed it up. The DSD remastering process itself usually makes cds sound great. SACD player not needed to enjoy the improved sound in most cases."
The best ever?

"The Brandenburg Concerti have been recorded so many times and so well, that I have to be brief.
This recording is currently my favorite, and a splendid SACD. The playing is superb, and I can't get enough of it - even more than my previous favorite, another SACD from the Bach Collegium Japan led by Masaaki Suzuki. These great players also include Bach's Four Orchestral Suites in their set.
Finally, you also can't do wrong with the Concerto Italiano under Rinaldo Alessandrini or the Giardino Armonico led by Giovanni Antonini."
