"Ok, I've EVER prefered Jose in his English album where for me he show his best and incomparable creativity, art and soul, and again his incredible work on guitar: Jose is probably the most incredible guitarist in the world but... Spanish/latin listners don't know it, don't know the true Jose. This because his spanish album, so popular in latin countries are and was so "closed" in the romantic-pop-ballads without some departures in Jose typical style.
But this "me Enamore" album released in 1983 (with the previous "Escenas de Amor" album in 1982) sign a departure for me respect to all his spanish album released before and after this just today: here Jose created a gem at level of his best english album and correctly Jose won a Grammy that year how best latin album of the year
He make works in many styles and translated many american-english hit in spanish and also created two his composition like the incredible "Ay Carino", but again so great is his re-working on "El Condor Pasa" where finally He shown what guitarist is! And again so great are his completly rewriting of "Sound of Silence" by Paul Simon and "Ready to take a chenge again" (No quiero perder tu amor tabien).
To have and thanx to motown to release this great album: Jose is a true Motown artist and will be great if they call him to return there, That label was perfect for him: in english and spanish side album released from 1981 to 1983."
