"Se trata de la publicación de 80 canciones en 4 cd's de la primera época de José Luis Perales antes de su fichaje por Sony. Las canciones más antigüas tienes mejorado el sonido, sin duda han cuidado bastante bien la elaboración de esta recopilación. Faltan muy pocas canciones de toda su discografía con Hispavox. Engloba los discos "Como la lluvia fresca", "El pregón", "Mis canciones", "Nido de águlias", "Tiempo de Otoño", "Amaneciendo en ti", "Entre el agua y el fuego", "Para vosotros canto" y "Por si quieres conocerme". Sin duda es una pequeña joya de colección para todos los admiradores de este cantante y su buena música."

"Jose Luis Perales con su estilo, letra y voz me hizo recordar aquellos momentos gratos cuando escuche sus primeras canciones. En este album con sonido de alta fidelidad y melodias cuidadosamente seleccionadas confirma la calidad de autor dedicado al amor, la vida, el país y aquellos personajes que piensan, sueñan y tienen tantos sentimientos como nosotros.
80 Exitos como "Un velero llamadao libertad","Tu como yo", "¿y como es el?", "me llamas", (por mencionar algunos) forman parte de las melodias clasicas dedicadas al amor y romanticismo que perduraran por siempre. Una excelente Coleccion."

"This is, by far, the most precious CD anthology I currently possess. I would humbly submit to the reader of this review that Jose Luis Perales is arguably the most poignant, profound, and prolific composer of Spanish ballads of this generation.This anthology consists of 80 timeless recordings from Perales' first nine studio albums. (Please refer to Fernando Fernandez's excellent review for album titles.) The songs contain insightful and brilliant lyrics, all of which are bathed in melodious tunes. "Asi Te Quiero Yo"," for example, describes in lush poetic terms the composer's unfailing love for his bride. "Carta para Maria" is a love song written to his dear daughter, complete with sweet juvenile references. "Por Ti" is concise, pure, and elegant, yet so profound, elements which so often characaterize this poet's works. "Me Ire" is a nostalgic look at Perales' former home town. "Las Cosas de Dona Asuncion" is a comical ditty about the mundane habits of a small social circle of friends. "Mi Soledad," one of my all-time favorite compositions, is an introspective glance at how adulthood changes all of our perpectives, yet the child within still longs for those carefree days. I cannot recommend this collection enough. It is truly a jewel of a find for any serious student of vintage Spanish ballads."
