"According to a CBC Radio 2 music show ("Music and Company"), Mozart sought out and admired the work of Josef Myslivecek while Mozart was an adolescent and young adult. Today, Myslivecek is virtually ignored. Too bad."
A good recording and good music.

"i consider myslivecek to be primarily a talented imitator, he was obviously greatly influenced by haydn, who was born just five years before him, and his symphonies can sound to be almost the equal of haydn or mozart at their best.
the sound quality and playing is good on this recording and i would recommend this composer to anyone who loves the classical era and especially to people who favor mozart over all others."
