"This is a recollection of Josh's days with Lester Flatt, Earls Scruggs, & The Foggy Mountain Boys where he introduced a new instrument into bluegrass music. These cuts feature higher fidelity of course, coming 45 years later, and feature great players like JD Crowe, Aubrey Haynie, Bobby Hicks, Chris Sharpe and others. Josh has a different sound than many of the newer players. It's as powerful as anyones - it really "cuts" through through in bluegrass, and it's extra soulful. I loved "Sultan of Slide" (Josh's last release), but since I'm a Dobro fan I think I like the focus on this one - The Dobro. This is a keeper for sure!"
