"I just received this album today and I have listened to it 3 times. It's a FANTASTIC album. The members of Journey have done it again. This is a must for Journey Fans. Steve Augeri sounds great and is a fine choice to replace Steve Perry. The bonus track is really good, too bad it isn't slated to be on the US release version. Thanks to the members of Journey for keeping the magic of Journey alive!!!"
Escape revisited

"This is truly a return to classic Journey. Arrival takes me back to Escape. I will always miss Steve Perry, however it makes it easier to move on with this album. Steve Agueri is an almost match and will fill Perry's shoes quite nice. Tracks like Higher Place, Signs of Life, I got a reason and All the Way are immediate Journey Classics. Schon's guitar work is masterful and it is nice to hear Cain using the Piano in rockers ala Don't stop believing. Candidate for rock album of the year!"
Journey Rocks Harder Than Ever

"Arrival is a pure rock album. New vocalist Steve Augeri sounds more like Jimi Jamison(Survivor) than Steve Perry. Many candidates having Steve Perry like voice such as Hugo and Kevin Chalfant(Two Fires) were not chosen and the new vocalist choice shows and the album resulted clearly says what Journey sound should be like. It is true that Steve Perry may do better jobs in some ballads such as All The Way, With Your Love and Lifetime of Dreams. But Steve Augeri's voice shines well in rockers such as Higher Place, I Got A Reason(my #1 favorite). So with Augeri's arrival finally Journey can rock really hard. This is somewhere between Hardline's Double Eclipse and Vital Signs(Survivor)/Escape(Journey)in hardness. A must for Survivor, Hardline, Sign, Two Fires and House of Shakila fans."
