Album Description"Dutch lutist Jozef van Wissem catches his own reflection in tender, minimalist picking and gold-spray overdubs." -- David Fricke, Senior Editor, Rolling Stone Brand new full-length comprised of six compositions from Jozef Van Wissem, acclaimed lutenist and Brethren of the Free Spirit band mate (with James Blackshaw). It Is All That Is Made consists of six trance-inducing circular pieces composed for 10-course Renaissance lute and 13-course Baroque lute. The title of each piece, and the storyline created within, critically juxtapose the first chapter of Genesis with more contemporary narratives. The pieces are played forward, then backward, creating music that is potentially without beginning or end. The photograph on the front cover was taken during a Portuguese festival last summer, while the artist performed for a large crowd without any amplification or artificial light in true cinematic dogma style.
