(5 out of 5 stars)

"Here's a father-daughter duet that doesn't get cutesy-wootsy;it gets great.Great song selection, great group-Jim Cox(b),Phil Gratteau(d),Tom Miller(flute),Richie Cole on alto sax,who I saw play with Eddie Jefferson at Detroit's Baker's Keyboard Lounge-and planned to see him there a year later,a day before Eddie was murdered outside the world's oldest jazz club.Cole is terrific with vocalists-and he is here with one helluva father-daughter duet;Judy Roberts(piano and vocals) and her father,Bob Loewy(guitar and vocals).

Years ago in Detroit,an uncle showed me an article about Judy and her dad in one of the Sunday Chicago magazines;she was terrific when I went to see her in Chicago-where she has been a long-time pianist/vocalist local legend.Actually,I underestimated her as a pianist.I just happened to read that she was relocating to Phoenix.Good news for Phoenix-and very depressing news outa Chi-town."
